This is supposed to be Chancellor Palpatine. He was keeping a pretty damn big secret.

Not too bad - though I'm not terribly good at caricature !

BoS Drawing Challenge - #52 Deep in Thought

Just finished this one :

The hands aren't very good. And the crystal glow isn't as good as it could be - but otherwise I kinda like how this one went.

I've been invited to do some cover art for The Dunesteef again, so the Balls of Steel might be on hold for a little bit. Or maybe not. But I will be doing something a bit different again !

BoS Drawing Challenge - #51 Sport

This one took a little longer than I expected. I knew that I wanted to do a Blood Bowl player for this one - though actually getting the drawing done was trickier than I first thought it would be. I started doing some orc players, they they really weren't working - so I switched to a human. In the end I copied the body pose of a gridiron player - then converted it to a Blood Bowl player though the armor :

No time to add any colour I'm afraid !

I messed up the legs a little, but otherwise it's not too bad.

Alternatively-Inspirational Poster #1

I've recently signed on to Pinterest - a image based sorta-social media service. I'm enjoying it so far, and have been 'pinning' all sorts of interesting pictures ( largely based on sci-fi, fantasy of video games ). But I have noticed that there are an awful lot of inspirational quote images. While I like an inspirational quote as much as the next guy, the sheer amount of them got to me a little. As a wee joke, I thought about doing a series based on proverbs from the Drow - the dark elves of the
Dungeons and Dragons game. The Drow are thoroughly evil - and there are a bunch of wonderfully nasty sayings they have. One person enrougraged me to give it a go - which is enough for me ! So here's my first try :

I'd like to stylize the body outline, and widen it a bit - but I'll run it by the author and see what he thinks.
